MEET MATTHEW

Gaining Elite Expertise from the Ground Up

Matthew’s journey in the construction industry began with a definitive choice during high school: a co-op placement with a residential renovation firm in Brampton. What started as an exploration of the trades rapidly evolved into a lifelong passion for general contracting. Over the next eight years, Matthew worked full-time on the tools, gaining intensive, hands-on experience across every major trade. This rigorous foundation transformed him into a master generalist who understands exactly how plumbing, electrical, framing, and finish carpentry seamlessly intersect.

When Matthew and his wife moved to Brantford to purchase their first home, he founded MBD Construction to bring that comprehensive, multi-trade expertise directly to his new community. Today, even as the company grows, Matthew remains deeply involved in every project. Driven by an old-school work ethic and a modern approach to client care, he prides himself on guiding homeowners through the stress of remodeling with transparent communication, creative problem-solving, and a meticulous eye for detail that never cuts corners.
